Frequently asked questions
What is a quote-to-cash system?
A quote-to-cash system is software for businesses to configure quotes (combination of products and pricing), capture contract signatures and manage payments and billing.
What are the 3 layers of quote-to-cash?
The three layers of quote-to-cash include configuring quotes (aka a CPQ), contract management, and subscription management.
What is the difference between CPQ and quote-to-cash?
CPQ systems only focus on configuring quotes. Quote-to-cash systems focus on everything that happens from creating the first quote to receiving the final payment from a customer.
What is the difference between QTC and OTC?
While QTC or OTC (order-to-cash) have overlap, OTC only focuses on processing individual orders, and does not deal with quote configuration or subscription management. OTC is focused on order fulfillment, processing payments and invoicing, whereas QTC is focused on the entire contract lifecycle.
